with our hampshire sheep the first to lamb had a single (scanned and known) no problem with her       the second(scanned with twins) lambed with two live lambs the tup lamb was the biggest after getting colostrum he was brought into the house to be warmed up and fed from a bottle after he was returned to the ewe the smaller ewe lamb was also brought into the house for some individual attention when returned to her mother if she saw us or heard us bleating like mad fortunately she is now behaving like a sheep had we not intervened one or both would have died

I'ts on its way but the day job got busy and what with being up all night I didn't quite get round to it: its on the other computer which is upstairs in the office while I'm on the laptop downstairs by the fire for the first time today.

Big one was 2.2kg while his weaker brother was 2kg.  I think he's turned the corner and after a day he's been seen suckling.  Not sure we got enough colostrum down him - prob about 250ml in the first six hours.  Big thing was getting them dry under the heat lamp cos they were born in heavy drizzle.

Its amazing sitting in the silence at four in the morning with a baby lamb

Born in garden in heavy drizzle and just standing.  Then after a bit of drying out

Thanks Jackie: welcome to the forum.  Matty isn't due for another month so I don't know what the ram was (not) up to.
