A friend of mine has some landes de bretagne sheep
These were almost extinct 45 years ago but have been saved

Are there any in the UK that anyone knows of ?

Similar to ouessant but a bit bigger  my friend says "C'est un peu plus gros que les ouessant et un peu moins sauvage, mais tout autant rustique! "

    moins sauvage??!! Theres a lady here with Ouessants and they are as friendly as anything!
There's Facebook group called European Wool Association that people share their sheep breed info on- you could ask on there whether anyone in Uk has any, or else if any breeders in France would be willing to export.....?

I interpret moins suavage as "less primitive" , but it was a refrence to the landes de bretagne , compared to ouessants
