Small plot of land use and regulations

Hello,
Can anyone help?
I am looking to buy a small plot of land. It is 2.5 acres and described as grade 3 agricultural. However it does not look like it has been used at all for decades. Looking at it I would say it looks more like scrub land. It is surrounded by about 4 houses and there gardens/paddocks.
I'm retired and do not intend to use it for a business and there are no buildings on it.
My intention is to extend an area of self seeded trees with both fruit trees and bushes to encourage wildlife, this is on a slope.
The flat area I intend to develop as an allotment for personal use, if there is a glut of produce I would look to give it to charity food banks.
MY QUESTIONS:
Is there anywhere I can see what is permitted to do on this land?
Can I do this, do I need permission?
Do I need permission to erect a small shed for my equipment?
Do I need permission to erect a greenhouse?
I have never bought land before, it's a new adventure for me. I've searched and searched the internet, but cannot find any Government or Council information relating to this size an type of land usage.

Regards Phil.
