 ;D ;D ;D ;D ;DWell Gavin I take my hat off to you! I know if sheep are treated well they respond and I have some that would willingly sit on my lap if small enough (they think they are!!!) However a lot, and I mean a lot of time and patience is needed with some breeds such as Soays and yes they can be VERY tame, but most people who keep them seem to use them for conservation grazing of remote hillsides, or put them in very large fields with poor fencing before they have got to know them ::) Some primitive types are most def easier than others....I like Kanisha keep Ouessants and whilst they can be flighty if startled they would prefer to mug me for what I 'might' be carrying in my pockets :o Shetlands on the other hand ::) :o :o :o
The worst sheep I have ever had re scattyness were Jacob x Suffolks

My Soays would come down into the 'pen' for feeding...................................but only once I was AT LEAST 30 metres away ::) :P ::).  If I dared move a single step forward..............they were dust  :( ??? :( ???

I can honestly say that Soays......and Castlemilk Moorits.....definitely have the LAST laugh.   ;)
