Hi, can anyone help me find half an acer of land to buy in and around Sheffield, not bothered about condition. What to grow my own produce I have a budget to work to and will share some of my produce. I've asked on here before and find people will always try and help. Regards Vin.

Walk around your area and see if there is any land not being utilised. Find out who owns it, contact them and ask if you can grow food on it and share with them

When you are looking for that size plot, would you not be better off looking for a  allotment?
Out allotment society allows 3 or 4 plots per family - thats plenty of space to grow you own food. Often people keep their plots for a lifetime!

An allotment really could be the place to start. (To be honest  I was daunted at the size of a whole plot when I took one on but overtime realised some plot holders had more than one. ) A plot was big enough to grow what we needed and had some to give away.
I was also told the waiting list was long but actually it wasn’t too bad.
I hope you can find something soon. I met some lovely people on my allotment and learned lots. I only gave it up when I moved and  I miss the camaraderie still. I cannot plant a line of anything without remembering a bellow from a loud and proud Welshman 4 plots away that things would still grow even if my lines aren’t straight.

Waiting list next to my house was 2 full years! I even forgot I singed up 
But there were other plots available from tomorrow, around 0.3miles away at the same time

There is a few plots on rightmove near Dinnington. Looks like someone is splitting a farm up. I've been eyeing it up myself. About 5 plots some woodland some grassland between 7 and 140 grand..
