My two chickens have come through their moult and one has started laying again, still waiting on the other to get going. They are over 18 months old and had previously laid really clean eggs. However the eggs recently are spotted with blood. Doesn't bother me as I just eat them but I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong, or not doing something I should be. Nothing has changed other than their moult and their age.
Is there anything that can be done to stop or reduce the blood spots?
