What is the current market value for a 6 month old Oxford Sandy and Black?

I have 3 x gilts.

Am I better off selling the live animal privately or selling the carcass to a butcher or something else?

Thank you in advance.

If you look at your nearest auction that sells pigs you will find what price they are selling at. I would think that this will be the last opportunity this week to sell at auction. Abattoirs will most likely be booked up now. After xmas prices generally take a fall.

Selling to a butcher isn't easy. What sort of weight are these pigs? You might have a local butcher who likes to support local producers. How much they are prepared to pay is another matter.

Tbh you have left what to do with these pigs a bit late in the day and at a time when abattoirs are really busy and booked up well in advance.

Do you not want one for your own freezer?
