2021 Smallholders Festival
« on: October 15, 2021, 10:55:53 am »
The Trustees of Scottish Charity, Smallholding Scotland, are delighted to present and are looking forward to our Annual LIVE Smallholders Festival a week on Saturday - 23rd October 2021

If you live in Scotland please book your FREE tickets on line here https://ssgf.uk/product/ssf21/

If you are further afield keep an eye on the website for results and videos https://ssgf.uk/

Entries for the various Shows have now closed and the Judging and results will take place on Saturday next at the Festival.  The results will be posted on ssgf.uk

The Festival will be a little different this year - face coverings, sanitisng stations, ticketed entry etc (we will be Covid Secure following ScotGov and Local council regulations) but the Showcases of numerous animals will be there as usual - equines, goats, pigs, sheep, alpacas, donkeys.

There is also an excellent programme of talks and demonstrations, plus a good number of trade and activity stands, https://ssgf.uk/whats-on/

Lots to see and hear!

Hope to see you there either live or virtually.  Have fun!

Many thanks to all our sponsors, most of all the financial support from the Scottish Government.

had a great day at the festival wife granddaughter and myself thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. also great seeing it through the eyes of a three year old. she loved the tractor and would have bought all the chick if her pocket money went that far. also when the Shetland Calf licked her she found that very tickly

Has any of it been recorded so that those of us unable to go can see what we missed?

Yes, there will be a virtual re-run of the event with additional content sometime in November. We're just working out the details, date should be announced soon.

We've got a confirmed date and time of Saturday 27th November at 9am.

It will be a virtual re-run of the events of the day, the show results, plus some additional content specially for the online version.

It will be here:

https://2021.ssgf.uk/

From Sunday 28th it will be available on demand.

We'll do some more publicity closer to the date.

Does this mean I can watch it in bits after Saturday rather than having to binge watch all in one go? I don't have all of the 27th free to youtube and find that I cannot watch more than an hour on the small screen in one go anyway....

Yes, the programme is available now here:

https://2021.ssgf.uk/talks/

Tomorrow they will run at the scheduled times shown, then on Sunday (probably late Saturday) you can watch them in any order.
