New here so just saying hello. I’m Steve, don’t have a small holding yet but  have a couple of options available at the moment of either buying a couple of acres behind my existing cottage or moving to a slightly bigger cottage which already has a 2 acre paddock. Hopefully this will all be in place by early next year. We will be new to all of this so I’m sure to have plenty of questions along the way. In the mean time I will start reading through the forum threads .

Hi Steve, and welcome to TAS  .  We also have a two acre smallholding and it is surprising how much it will produce if you plan things carefully. The forum threads were a great help to us before and during our start-up period. Come to think of it, they are still very useful.

The diary and livestock sections also proved invaluable. Good luck with it all and feel free to ask any questions.
