Hello

Hi everyone. We're a little late to the party, in our 50s and first timers to land holding. We've 8 acres across 3 fields. 5 sheep, 2 ponies and 5 dogs. We're in Fochabers by Elgin Moray and on a vertical rather than a learning curve! Hoping there's nice helpful people on here.

Never too late, they say!  lol

Plenty take it up in their 50s or thereabouts, myself included.  (Bought a moorland farm aged 49.  Well, I didn't like the purple hats I looked at ;p )

Lots of advice on here, and lots of people to cheer you on if you ever need it.

What sheep do you have?  Shall you :spin: their fleece?
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing
