My name is Demitri. I have 1 pig , 29 egg producing chickens about 35 Tortoise.  On our land we run a Bording house for cats and dogs so can be very busy in the Winter time.

We Live on Kefalonia an Island in Greece. I'm very interested in long term in turning our place into a homested. But all will take time. Im looking forward to reading the stuff you guys are doing and seeking advice from you all.
Thanks Dimi

Welcome to TAS from a very damp Somerset. I should imagine that the weather in Kefalonia is a lot warmer than here.

Hello Jimmy and welcome to the forum. Had some wonderful holidays on Greek Islands but the closest I got to you was Zakinthos. Remember looking North and seeing a very mountainous island.

I imagine you have even more problems keeping your chickens cool than we do!

Hello Dimi and welcome  I think this is the first time tortoises have been mentioned on TAS  8)  Good luck with your plans for a smallholding and I look forward to following your progress.  Laying hens are always a good start  :hughen:

I had a totoise called Mercury when I was a child, but he ran away and was squashed by a lorry  :( :'(
