Hi I am new to all this, in fact I was lucky to even work out how to use site - not very IT aware!
We have three chickens and a Cockerel in our urban garden. Yes the Cockerel - Flashman - is causing a problem.  He is very vocal and he is looking for a new home. Can anyone suggest somewhere that may take him on. We have promised the very patient neighbours that we will rehouse him. Not sure how long we can cope with the very early alarm call!

Ok, had the same problem a few months back.  Firstly I blacked out the window in their shed, secondly I made sure they didn't see a chink of light till around 8 am, by covering all other gaps, round door etc, thirdly I made sure they were put inside as dusk fell.  That worked perfectly for a time. However, I have a neighbour on shift work so Jamie was annoying him during the day!  So I got Jamie to pose for me to take photos of him (he is a very handsome lad  ;)) and to write a very appealing advert for Gumtree, and he got three replies. ;D  His little suitcase was packed double quick and a very nice family who had three Black rock girls took him home to play with them and their three children.  He is very happy there.  Good luck with re-homing your boy.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age
