2nd crop of strawberries
« on: October 25, 2010, 08:04:44 pm »
Anyone else having a second crop of strawberries?
Ours are outside, unprotected in hanging baskets and two planters, they are Cambridge favourite variety. We had a crop in the summer, nothing for a while and I thought they had finished, but now there is another crop. Very nice and yes we are down south in London but it is slightly bizarre having freshly picked strawberries with the log burner lit ! :)

Straw berries should fruit for a year or two.  They can be increased in number quite quickly by the runners that they put out also.   Some varities are large and others are quite small. :farmer:
