Help with 2 day old lethargic lamb
« on: January 08, 2020, 08:26:16 pm »
Monday I found a ewe who had just given birth to twins. The largest of the 2 was dead and mother wouldn't tend to the smaller one. She is very small but has been given replacement colostrum and replacement milk. Happily eats, but is unsteady on her feet. She is very lethargic and seems to tremor/shiver a lot. What should I do?

Take its temperature 38.5 _ 40 is normal , so may be hypothermic  or if temp normal it may have been slightly premature so needs time to catch up

Check temperature. (look up how to treat hypothermic lamb)

Stomach tube milk in.   Keep under heat lamp. Put on lamb jacket.  much TLC!

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Let go of who you are and become who you are meant to be.
