Hi! Welcome from north Wales.  We definitely need more farmer's markets as outlets for our stuff, not many around here.  Well done with your sausages - keep up the good work.

Hi and welcome from Durham,

Just about to send my first two Tamworths of to the butchers, going to get bacon and was wondering how else you split your pig, the wife isn't to keen on pork joints so gonna do as many sausages as i can. What do you get sausage wise from a pig and what else do you get from them?

Pottsie does your wife like ham, salami, mince, spare ribs, pate, burgers  all of these will be particularly good from your own pigs.

Definatley going for bacon, ham, mince, spare ribs, and as many sausages as possible, oh and chorizo if the butcher will sort it? will that leave anything or can i do a whole pig with that? think i might have to make a wish list and then speak to the butcher.

It would be a shame not to keep at least one joint for Sunday Roast and a few chops.  Enjoy the eating experience of a life time - your first home reared free range pig.
