ATV Flail Mower

We purchased one of these from a local dealer second hand and it’s absolutely rubbish! We have a very large pond area with paths etc all around. The ground is quite rough and it’s taken us two years to get it looking half decent. We hired a push flail mower which was amazing for clearing all the brambles and nettles we had growing in one area so thought we would invest in one for the quad to help us keep on top of it all over there and keep it looking nice. However, the one we bought cuts bits of the grass but leaves massive tufts everywhere, as you go over it with the mower if you run your foot through the so called cut grass you can see it’s just been flattened by the rollar not cut. It’s been back to the dealer several times for them to sort it but comes back exactly the same so we’ve now told them to come and collect it and refund the money. Anyway, I’ve been trying to research and watched a few videos of different makes of the and looks like all the cuts are similar. Just rough rather than low tidy cuts. The topper on the tractor does a much better job of cutting the grass in the field but it’s too big for over at the pond. So my question is are all flail mowers for quads designed to just rough cut rather than to give a nice low cut like a lawn mower? Thank you

Is it a Logic?

Their MFP120 flail mower is a pretty good bit of kit.
