Rescue Hens.

I collected 6 rescue hens today. I had 2 old hens wondering about the place for a while now but yesterday one dropped dead. I would say it was a heart attack as she and her friend were fine when I let them out in the morning. I saw them go down the paddock. An hour later the dead hen was up by the house. She looked as if she had just dropped dead hence thinking heart. I kept the other hen in her stable this morning and when we got back with the rescue girls put them in with her. She has spent the afternoon making a right racket and the new hens are keeping well away from her. They have a 12x10 stable places to hide if need be. Do you think my old girl will settle down or should I take her out and pen her by herself for a few days.

While everything is new to the other hens I would leave her in with them otherwise she will always end up being on her own.
