Hi,

I will be qualifying as an occupational therapist in a year and I want to keep alpacas for alpaca walks. The land is currently sheep pasture. Do you think therapeutic use is a change of use for the land? I will need planning for a shelter and we don’t live on site.

Thank you

Rebecca

Hello
You are not planning a hospital but a field of grass so you don't need to change any land use etc.
What you might need if you are bringing vulnerable people is working animal insurance (not sure if this this is the proper name).
Growing loads of fruits and vegetables! Raising dairy goats, chickens, ducks, rabbits on 1/2 acre in the middle of the city of Leicester, using permaculture methods.

Oh yes! Will get insurance. Just hope they let me put a shelter and a summerhouse there for alpacas.
