Found equipment - what is it for?

I have found a couple of small plastic bottles and a plastic bottle with a pump top labelled “feather and hair testing”. Can anyone tell me what this is?

Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical and expecting more than others think is possible.

Ha ha, don’t think that’s suitable for feathers!!

I tried looking online yesterday but not much info. Possibly said something about sexing? The person before had sheep last of all but did have chickens and pigs before. I don’t know, it’s a mystery!

Maybe for horse DNA? When we send FIS samples they take mane/tail and feather (around hooves)
