Hey,

I'm Max, I've worked on farms for many years and have a decent amount of knowledge for agriculture  (well in my opinion anyway  :P)

I've recently moved to Scotland with a friend to start a small holding and looking for some local contacts. Are land is based near Aberdeen.

Hope to make some good friends here.

Welcome to the forum Max. I'm in the next county across from you, Morayshire.
Not got asmuch experience as you it seems but everyone is friendly here and willing to help you with information.

Hope all goes well for you and your friend and look forward to seeing how you get on.
I'm not scared to be seen, I make no apologies. This is me!

A  from the other end - welcome to the forum AgriMax and good luck.
I do trust though that the kilt you're wearing is Cornish tartan!   :D

Wishing you all the very best.  I moved up to the very north of England (north of Hadrian’s Wall) from Exmoor, stuck it for ten years, and two years ago moved back to North Cornwall.  In all those ten years, I never stopped missing summer. :/   But I think your weather on the east coast will be significantly better than I had in Cumbria - and although I’m loving having summers again now, I do miss the long loooooong summer evenings <3
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Hi Max. We are based near Huntly. Which part of Aberdeenshire are you?
Our holding has Anglo Nubian and British Toggenburg goats, Gotland sheep, Franconian Geese, Blue Swedish ducks, a whole load of mongrel hens and two semi-feral children.
