Photos?
« on: October 01, 2010, 03:24:52 pm »
If I have missed this, I apologise, but I can't see how to post photos here. Can anyone advise me how to do this on this forum.

I have done so on other forums (fora?) but can see how it's done here.

Thanks

under the writing box of yor reply it say additional options, open and attach your pics, mostly need resizing to do it this way i think but im unsure on how to do this sorry  ??? but some one will come along and explain  ;)
or upload the pics to a photobucket account (free) and copy and paste the pic code into your reply
Hope this helps, a bit maybe lol

On the subject of pics...I did a search for images of a particular type of poultry the other day, and was very surprised to see one of my own images come up. The only two places that image could be from are this forum (it's the Oxford hen in my profile) or Photobucket. It couldn't be Photobucket, could it?

More likely someone pinched/borrowed it

it could well be photobucket... if you album is "public" not "private".  it seems to be public automatically, and you have to change it manually in your account settings

Thanks to all of you.

I already use Photobucket to load photos on another web forum. Here's a photo of my car and trailer in the corner of my field (just so I can confirm I have understood how this works!).

Oops!

Sorry if the picture was a bit big but that's how it came off my camera.

Resizing is possible but I don't know how to do this without mucking up the image quality. Any suggestions appreciated on that one.

SAve the reduced size one with a different name, thus keeping the original

Thanks.

We've got a fairly crazy set-up. After a year of looking for land we had to buy somewhere to live and then buy the field. As a result we finished up owning land about 20 miles from the house. Not ideal. However, we only want to grow stuff - no animals - so being that far way isn't a show stopper.

BUT

We can't leave machinery in the field as it would be gone 10 minutes after leaving it there. Hence the trailer.

The trailer is also a small caravan (front 6 feet) so it gives us temporary accommodation when we need to spend more than one day working there. The back half of the trailer has a drop down ramp and the tractor, topper, transporter box, etc. can all go in the back. The tractor is a 20hp alpine one with an air cooled engine so it only weight 600kg - about half a ton. So its weight isn't a problem as the trailer can carry about 1.5 tons and still be legal.
