Probably the same rotavator I had last week Eastling! Yes, any of the big chains - Hire Shop, HSS, Jewsons or places like B&Q (which I think subcontract to Hire Shop). I tried HSS last year and the turf cutter was awful and the rotavator not much better so I'm never going back. I've just had a turf cutter and rotavator from Jewsons and they were great (although be warned, all rotavators seem a bit stuck in the industrial revolution), also brilliant service (i.e. they delivered when I could be in - not giving me a four hour window when they might turn up). Worth having a look on line to see if you can get better prices. Loads of on line places all route back to the HIre Shop though - I spoke to the same man on two different numbers from two different websites last week.

Look for Speedyhire in Millfield Road  / Lincoln Road P/ boro by the Triangle
Therre also used to be one in Church Street Stanground on the left as you headed for North street .
Failing that do a Yell search for garden machinery hire in that area .
There also used to be a plant hire in Stamford in the Rhyal Road trading estate where the likes of Halfords are . ( been a few years since I was there though. )
