I'm in the same position or worse! My ewes dont even look pregnant yet and I'm begginning to suspect the new ram who runs with them all the time. Every year I've started lambing (Soay) by now spread over about six weeks. This year no sign of even an enlarged belly. The ram was suposed to be proven so assuming its not him, I can only imagine the awful weather has either put them off altogther or caused a big delay. Anyone else experiencing this?

I'm just waiting on one black welsh. One lambed yesterday morning and I have given up with my last mule. Tiniest sign of an udder, raddled to lamb 22/3 and nothing. She didn't pop til May last year so I have just put her out with others and gotta wait and see.


I think the weather is confusing them.

We started today, with a hung lamb , so dissapointed we didn't manage to save him. He was stuck fast with one knee behind his ear. Saw the ewe start to labour so was watching the whole time, and tried my best to help her,  but still managed to loose him. Fingeres crossed things improve now x

I expected to start lambing early March its been slow upto now but the last couple of days we have had quite a few but its snowing now.

Oh I'm sorry to hear your first was so sad
If it's any consolation we had a hung lamb last year, she never really took off and then just when I thought she had caught up etc she died with the first frost. Sometimes they just aren't meant to be saved I'm sure   At least you have saved the ewe
