Well its good news, the dogs were chipped and went back to the owner that night!!
Now the not so good news, my daughter rang to check and they were quite off with her, they said they had gone back to the owner as the warden knew of the dogs as they are always escaping.
My daughter commented on the bad flea bites with crusty scabs and the fact that they were chained together but there was no comment as she was unable to speak to the warden just another worker, now my daughter is happy that they are back home but could not understand the thank less response she got and how carefree they seemed that the dogs were always escaping.
We both suspect its something to do with the privacy laws etc but it sort of put a downer on my daughters good deed!
Maybe next time she sees them she WILL tie them to the fence like the other passer buy suggested  :innocent:  no don't worry she would never do that!!

I felt like that when I found the owner of the lost border terrier I saved from being run over and choking on a stick. Took her to the vets, had to have ticks removed as well, got her a collar and lead. When we handed her over to the owners they knew all this but didn't offer to cover any of those costs and barely thanked us.

Grrrr! Some people!

Its a strange world indeed, there used to be a stray dog around here and the owners could hardly look after themself so the poor dog had no chance, I suppose the wardens tried but in the end the dog died in a house fire!!!
