The tags are not black so no bolus, I will catch them up and check for tattoos.  They have one tag in each ear but each tag has only the individual 3 digit number.  The other side of the tag (where the flock number should be) is blank

  Should be a five digit number , so may be the owners management tag

I think it must be, there are no tattoos in the ears.  Is my best bet to phone the breeder and have tags forwarded???

You said that the paper work has individual numbers for each lamb, so it may be an oversight on the owners part. So yes phone them

My colleague is phoning the breeder and asking him to forward correct tags, I think the tags in are just management tags, as somebody said.  I'll be happy when it's all sorted!!!

if they have lost their tags you can get replacements pretty cheap. The type of tag is important, the button tags get lost easiest, shearwell are the best.
