Not superstition or OCD.  It's normal to say goodnight to members of your family and tell them you love them.

Animals give us so much in our life..I always say nite to the dogs...not the chickens as they are in bed long before me  ::)

But of course one says good night.  We refer to putting the chickens away as reading them a bedtime story.
Being certain just means you haven't got all the facts

Curry is an 8 month old pest kid but at least the bad behaviour will make it easier to turn him into curry when the time comes.   ;D

I like to thank the chickens for eggs, and always thank oakie after milking her ;D. as i go on to yard in the morning i ask the horses how they are and if they have slept ok.. Little habits.
