I know you and you're not big headed - just willing to have a go at anything.  I am too but I never seem to hit on anything that makes me any money! ::) ;D

Oops, sorry, Callum, hijacked your thread.

Karen - thought of an idea for the bottles - OK, going to the 2 litre bottle thread now. :-[ :-*
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

I only need mine for reading but I utterly hate them. I keep on losing them in the house or if I leave them on the top of my head and put them down somewhere outside...I am not the only one as I keep on finding old pairs in the garden, must be OH's before he got used to wearing his , lol. :&>

I too have glassess all over the house, often all in the same place!!!! My OH was telling one of our guests how I went to answer the phone by picking up the baby monitor!! we were in the kitchen at the time and I was just going to chop up the daffodils for spring onions!!!!!!!!! The funniest thing was when I went to put the Mr Potato man glasses on and they were far too small!! still giggle about that one ;D ;D ;D

I loathe wearing glasses. I only wear the distance ones for driving, never out and about. They fall off (ok, perhaps need them adjusting) and a sheep treads on them or I lose them in the grass.

My OH has been wearing monthly disposable contacts for the last 18 years ever since his glasses got run over by the tractor. They are just essential if you work outside in all weathers. He wears them all day, every day and only ever uses his glasses if driving somewhere very early in the morning, or if getting up in the night to check stock for some reason.

The only advantage (or disadvantage) to having bad eyesight as you get older is, you cannot see all the muck in the house, your grey hairs or your wrinkles and of course you can wear one navy and one black sock without feeling silly, trouble is, others can see what you carn't!!!!

iv worn contacts for years, and actually, since iv had kids, i dont think iv owned a pair of glasses that havnt been bent to breaking point by little fingers! wonky glasses are the norm! contacts suit me better cos when its driving rain outside, u cant see bugger all!
i treated myself a few years back and got prescription sunglasses thinking i cud give my eyes a break from contacts all summer while working outside, but cos im as blind as a bat, the glasses were so heavy i cudnt even look down without them falling off. they drove me nuts, i shud get them adjusted but keep putting it off!!

I have to relight our boiler on occasions and what a struggle, first I am stiff as a board and find it hard to get in the correct squashed up position then, I have to light a match and lay down and find the burners without my glasses falling off or getting cramp!! Hate the things that happen with age, another thing is shopping, all those variable products with different weights to confuse you so you have to work out if buy one get one free is better than buying a larger pack etc, shopping with the need for glasses is a chore, I also cannot see dog hairs on things, so, when I put my glasses on I get depressed about all the cleaning I have to do...so...I take them off and get on here like I am doing now !!! ;)
