It was funny, I saw a ball in the water, I asked each dog to get it for me, they all went and took a look but only Rhum gave it too me in my hand......and I never ever understand why, no matter where I stand, they all shake next to me when they have been in the water!!

Told you before - I could see it in her eyes, Rhum is the natural worker of the four.

One of my girls did that with the lamb was looking after last year, but my boys both wanted to play with it.  Just keep persevering - he'll come round. ;D

He is a very loving dog, loves to be sitting next to us with his head on a lap. He is just not brave but will bark his head off if a strange car comes up our road. Enough to put anyone with bad intent off.  ;D

Same here I was told that we had let him spend to much time with us to be an effective working dog, but I don't know how much that is true as my grandads dogs went everywhere with him and then curled in front of the fire in the evening.

I think as you say you get some that just aren't brave enough to work sheep.

Dogs and i went to the beach today. I parked the car at Gardenstown harbour and walked along past the sea front houses to get to the beach. Tide was on the way in but we had plenty of time for the dogs to have fun. It was lovely and warm, I saw a family having a picnic. hard to believe its March. neighbours had a Barbecue this evening. Could this be our summer ????
