Well I initialy googled for Scottish Small Holders Association, SSHA and got Society of Sexual Health Advisers, maybe I need them more than I think

- thanks for the link - I didn't get further than the 'how to make a living from under 10 acres' bit and I have only had time to flick through it, but loads of info there. The Jimmy Docherty wannabes should have had a look at that for ideas, facts and figures. The report includes 'The Real Seed Co', where I bought some of my veg seed for the first time this year.

Oh my this is annoying.

Myself and the OH are flying up on thursday to view a farm on friday and start some serious legwork in finding a humble abode for ourselves. But we already have flights booked for monday the 11th!

So frustrating as it seems like there will be topics of much interest to me. Plus, the more people you meet the more the likelihood of finding someone who might know of a castle with 100acres being sold off for £10...... HA! I wish!

Where are you flying to? Edinburgh - half an hour away - Glasgow 3/4 of an hour - many of us are in this area - we could maybe meet up sometime over the weekend?

Ah ha, well ideally all we need is a 2 bed cottage with between 40-50 acres.

I don't ask for much do I! But we either seem to be able to find land and not the right property or the perfect property with sod-all land.

Any suggestions?

That would suit me too

, I looked for a year and a half and have managed to get an acre and a bungalow(sold as 5 bed but is now 3 bed, study/bed and diningroom), but I DID restrict my search to half an hour from my daughter in Stirling.

Good luck - give us your itinerary adn we'll try to meet up and give you the CSSA run down.
