pig classes at Lesmahagow
« on: May 05, 2011, 07:21:32 am »
SPKA are having our first pig classes in Scotland after a period of nearly 30 years. Our first show is Lesmahagow on 28th May 2011. If you would like to show your pedigree pigs at Lesmahagow please contact me or go the www.lesmahagowfarmerssociety.co.uk and down load the entry form. Don't think oh I'm new to this and will watch first, we are all new to this and are going to have a good time. Help will always be on hand for advice please come and support us as, without you there will be no future for pigs classes and our ultimate aim is to show once again the the Highland Show. You can contact me on 01324 861250/07795288406 or go to www.scottishpigs.co.uk. Hope to see a good turn out and get entry form to me asap please.
Thanks,
Lillian

Wish everyone all the good luck.
Unfortunately you're 3 1/2 hours too far north for me (166 miles) otherwise i'd loved to have come but its too far to trek my pigs for one day especially as we're at Newark two weeks prior.
I'm sure you'll all have a great time.
Best Mandy  :pig:

I'm happy for all long travelled folks to stay at mine - we're only about 3 miles from the show ground (got a spare room, 4 couches and lots of field space for tents  ;) ;D) Plenty of room to park trailers containing pigs for the night too (can't unload 'em, but they'd be okay for a night surely ?)
Go on, you know you want to  ;) And it would be lovely to finally meet you Mandy  ;D

The offer is open to anyone - just pm me and I'll keep you a space !

No, sorry! My only pedigree is my Tamworth boar, and I'm not brave enough!

no senior boars are a big handfull you need two handlers that are not novices
you could do the same as Southerners just buy a good one
