Can we eat them

Sounds silly but someone somewhere told us not to eat the first few eggs that chicckens produce ???, is that true, we now have half a dozen from our three hens and intend to feed them to our dogs, when can we eat them?

I have never heard this - we always eat the first eggs, no problem!!
Husband, 2 teenage daughters, 1 horse, 2 Springers, 2 White khaki campbells, 5 black rocks, 1 warren and 2 pet rats :)

Me neither. We eat them straight away and haven't come to any harm.
