be cheaper to get a farmer to do it for you?  Or even a groundwork/landscape contractor. Sometimes hire isnt a cost option.  Get someone else in to do it quicker and cash deal prob around £100 quid.

We are just looking at buying one, hopefully combined with a weedwipe we will be sorted in a few years and have some decent fields. Thing with buying one, you can top as needed as many times as you like, it will add up paying someone 2-3 times a year over a few years.

We managed to get a second hand one for about 1K ...  fields after 2 years of topping regularly after grazing are really improving

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.
