If I can spend it on the house which is on the holding then I need soundproof and windproof double/triple glazed windows, the broken harling stripped and replaced and a back door that opens and doesn't have a hole in it (former catflap with no flap!). The first two would probably be more than £1000 each but either one would be good.
If not then it would go to paying off one of several large debts, excluding the hay bill as smallholding related, that would be the car mechanic who I probably owe twice that to right now..
Exluding both house and car as holding related, could I pay for a holiday if it included a holding sitter? I haven't been away on a real holiday since 2006, just odd weekends with relatives/friends or a few days on other friend's holdings working for my keep. Oh and I had a day and a half spare in Rome in Feb 2012 while attending an exam.. I could REALLY do with a genuine nonworking holiday somewhere warm with loads of walking routes and decent veggie friendly food! I was planning a trip for my 50th but it never happened, I was just at the gym and feeding the cuddies as usual.
