Wanted: POL pullets (Fife)
« on: July 29, 2015, 04:28:12 pm »
I am looking for pol or at least 12 weeks+ growers who are definitely identifiable as female.   Must be large fowl.

To be free range eventually with mixed flock currently CB Marans, CCL, Sussex, Scots Grey, Bluebell. Would be particularly interested in more Marans fro!m dark egg lines, Welsummers or similar, not really wanting warren types and I have enough legbars just now.

Can collect as far as Stirling/Callander/Dunkeld/Dundee.

Still looking.

i've bought 2 white Leghorns and 2 Minorcans at pol from a local source and am getting 3 white eggs now.  But I really want Welsummer or Marans dark eggs for my mixed boxes.  Would take up to 1yo birds max if pol is really not possible, and can widen the pickup zone to west Lothian, west of Stirling to Loch Lomond, north to Pitlochry?  anyone?

Might rehome a nice spare cockerel with purchase of 2-3 girls if very laidback but I have had one aggressive male before and can't cope so please no problem birds and only with more than one unrelated hen.

After settling in pens they will be free range with ponies, sheep, cats and myself and my last main man was a delight of a CCL who recently died of old age  after several years here and came from another TASer under similar circs of downsizing.
