Other advantages are.....

You don't get heat stroke or sun burnt  :thinking:

Also Scotland is soooo beautiful and rustic, if rustic is the correct word. My bro went there a few years back with some friends and he loved the whole place. My roots are also from Scotland so I do have a hankering to see the home of my ancestors ( as well as Venice cause one half of my family originally came from there).  8)

We've just done it over the last 3 days - brilliant.
We've gone to the islands over the last 4 years (Skye & North Uist) - well worth the trip folks - scenery, wildlife and peace and quiet  :thumbsup:

I love Scotland and can't wait to get back there. Not this year though as our holiday is reserved for meeting our new grandchild.

the big bonus this year with the rubbish weather is there are hardly ever any midgies  :thumbsup:
keeper of goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, chickens, turkeys, dogs, cats, goldfish and children, just don't ask me which is the most work!

I just love living in Scotland and any time we do get away a week is long enough. I never tire of our countryside and the passion of the people. The weather may not be all that great but I don't like it too hot anyway.  :raining:
