Hi, One of my goats has started flaking on her crown (the parting in her hair on her head) and the skin has gone dry and crispy.    It doesn't seem to annoy her but I want to sort the problem out.  Has anyone else had this happen before?

Is she rubbing her had against something? Some of mine do it - probably boredom.

I have solved simple flakey skin (but be sure there is no infection, no mites) with a dab of olive oil rubbed into the skin for a few days, problem solved. Hair grew back quite quickly.

I haven't noticed her rubbing her head on anything.  She is the one on my photo actually, so she doesn't have horns.
I will try the olive oil method and hopefully it does the trick.
