Ectofly pour on used on fleeces wanted for spinning.
« on: May 06, 2015, 06:27:25 pm »
I have had a request for a large number of fleeces from my Romneys and Corriedales when shorn.  The lady wants to have a go at wetfelting (whatever that is!).  I explained to her that they are due to be shorn later this week weather permitting and that they were treated with ectofly about 6 weeks ago.  She was happy with that, but has now come back to me asking if the chemical will wash out with detergent?  I have no idea.  Have googled everything about ectofly but come up with nothing.  Anyone have any answers please!!  thankyou.

wet-felting is using soapy water and abrasion (usually bubble wrap or bamboo mat) to make the fibre form felt.
