I made a long day trip up North yesterday - fortunately my daughter and granddaughter came with me so we shared the driving - we first planted a chrysanthemum on Sandy's grave (first husband, Sarah's Dad, killed in an RTA) at Ellon cemetery, then visited my old 92 year old Aunt in Ellon, enjoying a lovely home made lunch of soup, followed by vanilla tart, my favourite pud, and gingerbread to take home
She's a real go-er my Auntie!
Let old Freckles and baby Missy have a run in Auntie Hilda's back garden (dog proofed for my cousin's lurcher
)
Then we drove up to Cairnie to meet Katy (clydesdaleclopper) and her family, deliver a bundle of willow stakes, meet the goats, sheep, ducks and hens and enjoyed a coffee and a blether. It was like meeting up with an old friend - thank you Katy! Happy planting!
Our Katie wanted to stay there for a few days and come back for her! She's her grandmother's granddaughter all right - skipped a generation - her Mum was glad to get back to civilisation!"
From there we drove down the A96 to Bonnyton, where we still have a fifth of an acre plot for sale, checked it out, thought of a couple of things we need to do on there, said hello to a couple of my old neighbours, then set off back to Stirling, stopping in for a McD to take back to the two older grandkids. I am now known as a 'cool' grannie since I had ordered a Big Mac meal Deal!
All in all a full 12 hours and boy, were my two middle dogs glad to get out of their run and come back into the hotel
Slept very well last night!!!!!!
