Last night a badger dug up my tulip bulbs and ate them. Left the green shoots that were showing through the ground. So mad

It was squirrels which did that to us, so we put mesh over the top.  Wouldn't work against badgers though

Wonder why they are poisonous to dogs, and not other animals?

Maybe they are and the badger had one very upset tum. The 3 remaining I have put a wire cage round them but I don't suppose that will keep him out. Never go for the daff bulbs.
