Keeping different breeds together????
« on: March 16, 2015, 11:33:17 pm »
As above, is it possible?
Only kept GOS before but keen to try different meats, we buy in weaners then they have approx 1-2 acres of pasture and woodland to run around in.
We can split the area if needed but I prefer them to have as large an area as possible, will prob stick to one breed if it's not do able

No problem at all, we've got different breeds living together.  Got Saddleback and Middle White growers in the same pen, and Saddleback and GOS breeding pigs together.

We have had every breed (except Duroc) here at various times, and currently have 8 different breeds living together.  No problems !
