 Hi All

Well we got our pork back on Saturday from our 4 boys and the difference in taste from what you buy from the supermarket is absolutely amazing!!!  :yum:  :yum:

We both love pork and until we got our own back we were buying from the local supermarket - never again!! We even noticed the difference when cutting it into smaller joints even the colour of the meat was more 'pink' compared to the supermarkets.

We could not believe the amount of meat we got back, enough to keep us going for some time! lol. The boys were our first venture into raising pigs and certainly wont be our last, especially after tasting the meat!  :D

Some of our friends have had some but we still have loads left (more than enough for our needs) if anyone is interested in buying some. We are in South West Wales.

Congratulations!

We never tire of comparing our own meat to supermarket meat, you'll soon become a meat bore too.  :D

Hi ya, yes ditto Dan, I am forever waffling about my meat and supermarket meat to the extreme that my sons will take sausages and bacon on scout camp as they won't eat anything else.  Good old Piggies

Where did you take them to in the end Dan?  The meat is much better when it is home grown :)

  Hi Welshlass

Sorry am late in replying to you, life rather busy at the mo!

We took them to HMD near Swansea. We got everything back apart from the head and trotters (we did tell them we didnt want them), including the liver and hearts. Had a lovely roast yesterday and the OH is cooking what was left in gravy with vegetables for tonight! OOOOO the taste of home reared pork!!
