Hello,

Has anyone got a copy of the first issue of practical pigs magazine (November 2010) that they dont want? I missed the first issue and am struggling to get a copy!

I got mine (highly prized though, not for giving it away - sorry) along with all my BPA stuff, think it's included with the membership fees. I'm not sure if a one off copy can be purchased direct from the BPA ? If you join the conservation club the subscription is included (£25 per year)

Got pigs and absolutley love them....but never heard of the magazine. Is it any good??! and worth getting?

It all depends on your level of knowledge already;but having said that it is nice to see a mag dedicated to pigs and for a relative newcomer it's very helpful.

There is a littel article about me and my pigs in the first edition!  Im the one holding the little black KK piglet who is known as 'Madge'  ;)

If you are a BPA member on a package i believe this magazine is included in your subscription.

we are not on a package deal and we were sent this magazine(i am led to believe all bpa members were sent the magazine) for the first edition we thought it was very good if they can maintain this standard

We were sent the first edition too, although I'm not at all clear as to why, we're not complaining :)

It's being sent to all members because it is replacing the usual BPA newsletter. Instead of the newsletter, there are eight pages of BPA news inside the magazine. It's a way of saving costs for the BPA and, they hope, a way of getting more people to read their news, as it's now more attractively-presented.
