May I please pick the brains of you lovely people?
I have a six year old shetland ewe with noisy breathing - it sounds as if she has got a filthy cold! She has always snored when resting but just recently it has become very noisy but usually only when eating sheep nuts when her head is slightly raised. She is as bright as always in herself, quite often to lead (at speed) when she and her companions move from field to field, doesn't appear to have dropped any weight and it is quite quiet when eating grass or hay. She does sometimes have a very slight crusting on her nose and has been wormed fairly recently with Oramec. None of the other three have this problem.
Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you

Vet to check her out in case of pneumonia.

Thank you but surely pneumonia would have shown itself fairly quickly?

Two things to consider - snotty nose may suggest Nasal bot but the Oramec should kill any plus a bit early in the year .   Throat abcess which causes very noisy breathing  , needs vet for AB's  . Hope its not because the 2-3 iv'e had did not have a good outcome . Pneumonia is not normally noisy but breathing very laboured and she would be last in any running , again needs AB's

Thank you. I did originally think n.bots and used the Oramec and  think it seemed a little less marked for a few days but then back again. Looking out at her now, she's got her head down and you wouldn't think there is anything amiss - in fact she's the  only one up grazing! I'll ring the vets and run it past someone down there
