Ewe with scours.
« on: April 13, 2018, 03:53:43 pm »
Hi me again, its been a very trying week! My last ewe had twins yesterday morning, penned her and all ok, this morning shes butting a lamb not letting him feed! Ive held her to allow him then made a small pen on the grass, shes much happier and has been letting him feed, phew! Now I notice shes scouring, should I give her anything? Planning on getting her back in overnight with hay, shes not interested in feed. Thanks all.

Sheep can produce a high number of worms around lambing so I would worm.

Nematodirus battus hatch is expected to take place in the next week or two as temperatures rise over 10 degrees for several days at a time.  Don't forget immature intestinal worms won't show up in a FEC count.  White drenches are still effective on most farms.
