I have a nearly 3 week old single ewe lamb being fed by her mum who I think may have bloat.  I have given her 40ml of sunflower oil by syringe and have been massaging her tum and wondered how long it would be before the oil works?

I had a 5.5week old tame lamb with quite bad bloat, the oil worked within 3-4 hours. Might be worth putting a tube down into stomach and pushing the left side of abdomen to release any gas too. He had another 40ml oil 12 hours later and a few days of natural yoghurt and oil in his last few bottles of milk before he was weaned.
