Egg whites runny... Help
« on: August 30, 2011, 03:29:58 pm »
I have some lovely hens and get plenty eggs daily. They are free rang and have lots of space to roam. I have notice the egg whites are runny and watery. I have not don't anything different to past years and unsure what it is! Eggs are not bad and egg picked daily!

Hi, just a few possible causes may be  itmis a known fact that hens as they get older can lay eggs with runnier whites, hot weather can also be a cause. The other main cause is viral infection including viral bronchitis but as the hens are well then probably not a viral cause.  :)
