Geese eggs

I have whole lot of eggs but goose won't sit.  We don't have any broodies and I can't find anyone with an incubator!  Can I hatch them with the help of my Aga?  Don't want to waste them but couple hundred to buy a new one is out of question at moment.

Hmmm. They need a constant 37C and 55% humidity, which could be pretty hard to arrange with an Aga.

eBay or Practical Poultry forum for a secondhand incubator? Is there anyone near you who has one who would set them for you (I'll do this but I don't lend out my incubator after one came back damaged)

Maino incubator, currently £15

Brinsea hatchmaker, currently £23

Octagon 40, currently £51

You'll need quite a big incubator to do geese eggs. I can only get 4 goose eggs in my Octagon 20 (which will take 18 hen eggs) and then you risk only one hatching......

Very unlikely these will hatch using an Aga, a constant temperature (37 deg) is needed. Correct humidity is also very important.

I have an 80 egg incubator which gets good results. I never had a high hatch rate with a Brinsea Octogan 20.

Have you thought about putting them up for sale on ebay and putting the proceeds towards buying an incubator?

Oh, I've got two Brinsea Octagon 20s and do really well with them, currently full of runner duck eggs  :)
