Just about to get some pigs and wondered if anyone could advise me on what to treat them with to keep them from picking up ticks?

Can't remember where I got the tip but basically we used to spray veg oil onto the heads of the pigs and behind their ears (places where the ticks tend to congregate) and then rub it in - it seemed to stop the ticks getting a hold.

If you can, keep free ranging Guinea Fowl. They will, eventually, clear them from the pasture.
