Found on our kitchen move
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Sounds like you need some kind of smoker or cabinet to start with, but yum - I love smoked chicken and smoked cheeses so it looks a great idea.  Let us know Sally when you've tried it.

Ive got one and love it.

My smoking cabinet is simply a cardboard box with a couple of cooling racks proped up on wood to make shelves, the smoker sits on an old bit of slate in the bottom of the box.

Every winter I do a load of smoked salmon and bacon.  It's easy and really, really tasty.

My hot tip would be to make sure you use the proper smoker fuel. 

Old floor sweepings from where you cut your logs will impart a rather different flavour! 

I hot smoke on a Weber smoker, but have always been intrigued to see how well the cold smoking snake devices work in reality.
