Sexing geese

How can I tell the sex of a Embden type
goose by just looking at it, are the males more vocal ? Also how old is to old for a good roast goose .

The easiest way to sex geese Is vent sexing. Once they are adults it's very obvious. As for eating if you cook him slow I don't think there is an age limit :)

Can't do that .Buying at auction not allowed to handle birds before buying, need to look for other signs of sex .

If you're used to geese I can tell by looking because the male has a harder look in his eye and the female is softer... unquantifiable I'm afraid sorry I can't be more helpful
